Almost every season of MW3 has a lot packed in. From new modes to skins, you’ll have tons of things to work towards in Season 3. If you read on, we’ll break down how to unlock and use these new pieces of equipment.
MW3 Perks: How to unlock and use the Gunslinger Vest, Modular Assault Rig, Compression Carrier Vest, and Reinforced Boots in Warzone Season 3
All the gear you unlock will have an immediate effect on your playstyle. So before you go in guns blazing, why not learn the new meta?
The vests
All three of the new vests are unique in what they can offer. Let’s go over some highlights of each.
Gunslinger Vest: This vest acts the same way as my favorite Overkill vest. But the difference is that instead of carrying two primaries, it’s the opposite — you take two secondaries with you. On paper, this may sound confusing, why would anyone want to go into a match with two pistols? There’s a method to the madness. There may be some challenges that you need to complete, like getting Clean Kills. By having two weapons that operate on the same level, getting those kills in tandem may become effortless. To earn this vest, do eight challenges.
Like most vests, you’ll get benefits that do not stack.
- Improved reload speed
- Spawn with max ammo
- Increased weapon swap speed
- Stamina comes back after every kill
- Reload while sprinting
Modular Rig Assualt Vest: Rather than going all out with weapons, the Modular Rig Assult Vest allows you to take two tactical, two lethal, and one-field upgrades. As I’m writing this, I can see this vest becoming my new fav thanks to its versatility. You’ll also get max reserve ammo and lethal and tactical replenish on kills. Unlocking this vest can be done by completing five daily challenges.
Compression Carrier Vest: If you play with aggression, consider this vest as your go-to. First, the good news: Health comes back immediately whenever you get a kill and grenades have less of an effect. Now for the bad news: Equipping this vest forces you to be limited in how you play. You’ll only have one lethal, no tactical, no gloves, and no boots. So that compromise is that while you’re not as deadly, you can still outlast many other players. However, if you’re considering completing the Close Call kill challenge, I’d advise against using this vest because your health returns right after you kill an enemy player. Like the Gunslinger vest, you must finish eight daily challenges to obtain the vest.
New boots
As you can tell, the vests that came with Season 3 have a lot to offer and you have more options. For the boots, Activision is a little more reserved in this department. There’s only one new pair called Reinforced Boots and it’s quite impressive what it can do.
Reinforced Boots: The main highlight is that they negate the effects of many grenades. By equipping this boot and Compression Carrier Vest, any stuns, or flashbangs thrown your way might not work. Being able to run around the map without having anything slow you down will make you hard to kill. It could give the other boots in the game a run for their money by that quality alone. Upon completion of five daily challenges, you’ll get these boots.
While the gear above can change the meta of MW3, these weapons can bring it full circle.
