MW3 reveal event offers new AR M13C in MW2 and Warzone

It's that time of year again!

A slew of rewards has just been announced for all Warzone players participating in the MW3 Reveal Event on August 17 at 10:30 am PST. To enter the event, all you need to do is show up in Warzone at the above time and select the ‘Shadow Siege’ playlist.

The official Call of Duty Twitter Profile broke the news with a picture detailing the rewards. If you’re like me, the free AR M13C Weapon already makes turning up to the event worthwhile, but here’s the complete list of what you get:

  • Konni Group Emblem
  • Tier Skip Battle Token
  • Crimson Sound Calling Card
  • Serpent Slayer Vehicle Skin
  • Gas Canister Charm
  • AR M13C Weapon

That’s a pretty good haul just for showing up.

We’ve had reveal events on Warzone before. The Battle of Verdansk in Season 5 was a memorable event that tasked players with blowing up an enormous armored train. It ended with an epic scene of the skies above filled with warplanes and excited the community for Call of Duty Vanguard.

As this new event ties into Modern Warfare 3, I hope for something even bigger than the Battle of Verdansk, but we will have to wait and see. The announcement on the official website reads the following:

“Join the ranks of Shadow Company to take on Konni forces and secure the chemical weapon threat before it’s too late. Stay tuned to Call of Duty channels for more details about the upcoming reveal”

Beyond that, details are sketchy, although the apocalyptic image of Al Mazrah on the official Call of Duty website certainly sets the tone.

It’s all about the buildup

The Modern Warfare 3 developers are already saying all the right things in the lead-up to the release. Progress from MW2 will carry forward into MW3 and the new iteration of Warzone.  This sort of thing should be commonplace with live service games, but it’s good to have official confirmation.

This news also means it’s a good idea to keep leveling up your guns on MW2 and Warzone. If you’re out of the loop, check out our build guide for the FR Avancer.
