Charm – increased by improving relations with other characters, releasing captured nobles or socializing with them, and bartering; improves relationships with NPCs

Note: This is one of the more tedious skills to try and level. Still, it does help when you’re trying to gain influence as a vassal and once you rule your own kingdom.

Level 25:

  • Ice Breaker – +10% chance to gain +2 relations when introducing yourself to lords
  • Diplomacy – -15% barter penalty

Level 50:

  • Adventure Stories – +1 renown for each issue resolved
  • Show Your Scars – +20% more renown from battles; party member effect

Level 75:

  • Forgivable Grievances – +20% chance to avoid persuasion critical failure
  • Meaningful Favors – +10% chance to have doubled persuasion success

Level 100:

  • In Bloom – +20% relationship gain with those of the opposite gender
  • Young And Respectful – +20% relationship gain with those of the similar gender

Level 125:

  • Champion = +10 influence from winning tournaments
  • Respectful Opposition – +30% chance to negate relationship penalty from kingdom decisions

Level 150:

  • Effort For The People – +10% chance for governor to gain +1 relation with a random notable per day; governor effect
  • Promoter – +1 notable relations with settlement owner for every project completed; governor effect

Level 175:

  • Our Great Leader – +20% influence from personal actions; clan leader effect
  • Pro Familia – clan member parties gain +10% influence from actions; clan leader effect

Level 200:

  • Moral Leader – +10 security bonus for town; governor effect
  • Natural Leader – +10 loyalty bonus for town; governor effect

Level 225:

  • Courtship – +1 influence per day for each allied lord’s party that’s not currently in an army and while waiting in the same town; party leader effect
  • Parade +5 loyalty per day when you visit your settlements

Level 250:

  • Charm – n/a; no description

Level 275:

  • Immortal Charm – +1 influence per day for every 5 skill points after 250

Leadership – increased when you maintain high morale in your army and when you assemble and lead armies; improves the morale of parties under your command and garrison size

  • Combat Tips – small XP boost each day to your party; party member effect
  • Raise The Meek – medium XP boost each day to tier 1-3 troops; party member effect

Level 50:

  • Inspiring Attacker – +20 morale in battles when you’re attacking; party leader effect
  • Star Defender – +20 morale in battles when you’re defending; party leader effect

Level 75:

  • Stiff Upper Lip – +20% security effectiveness of town garrisons; governor effect
  • Gratitude – +20% town loyalty gain; governor effect

Level 100:

  • Levy Sergeant – -15% wages for tier 1-4 troops; party leader effect
  • Veterans Respect – -15% wages for tier 4-6 troops; party leader effect

Level 125:

Level 150:

  • Drill Master – +20% XP for garrison; governor effect
  • Citizen Militia – +20% chance that militia spawns with more experienced troops; governor effect

Level 175:

  • Inspiring Leader – -20% influence needed to call parties to army; party leader effect
  • Assuring Presence – -20% army cohesion decay; party leader effect

Level 200:

  • Public Talker – +10% more effective boosts from forum, festival, arena, temple, and market place; governor effect
  • Inspiring Warrior – +20% faster notable recruit replenishment; governor effect

Level 225:

  • Swords As Tribute – +20% XP for heroes under your command; clan leader effect
  • Companions – +20% XP for troops under your command; party leader effect

Level 250:

  • Ultimate Leader – +1 party capacity for every skill point above 250; clan leader effect

Level 275:

  • Ultimate Leader – same effect as above; possible bug

Trade – increased when you make a profit from trading and when operating caravans; reduces trade penalty

  • Appraiser – +5% selling price for your equipment and profits are marked; personal and party leader effect
  • Whole Seller – +5% selling price for your trade goods and profits are marked; personal and party leader effect

Level 50:

  • Caravan Master – -20% wages for caravans and +30% party carry weight; clan leader effect
  • Town Merchant – -20% wages for workshops and +30% party carry weight; clan leader effect

Level 75:

  • Traveling Rumors – caravans gather trade rumors and mark item prices relative to the average price
  • Local Connection – workshops gather trade rumors and mark item prices relative to the average price

Level 100:

  • Distributed Goods – +10 income for every villager party that enters town; governor effect
  • Toll Gates – +25 income for every caravan that enters town; governor effect

Level 125:

  • Artisan Community – +1 renown for every profitable shop you own; clan leader effect
  • Great Investor – +1 renown for every profitable caravan you own; clan leader effect

Level 150:

  • Village Connections – +25% workshop production; governor effect
  • Content Trades – +10% tariff income; governor effect

Level 175:

  • Insurance Plans – caravans have more elite troops and return 5,000 gold when destroyed; clan leader effect
  • Rapid Development – +70% town taxes while waiting and shops give 5,000 gold when captured by an enemy; clan leader effect

Level 200:

  • Granary Accountant – +20% production for grain, olive, fish, and dates in “bound” villages; governor effect
  • Tradeyard Foreman – +20% production for clay, iron, raw silk, and silver in “bound” villages; governor effect

Level 225:

  • Everything Has A Price – trade settlements while bartering

Level 250:

  • Influential Trader – caravans and workshops generate influence

Level 275:

  • Mercenary Trader – +15 party size
