Mortal Kombat X patch pulled for eating saves

This article is over 9 years old and may contain outdated information

That aforementioned Mortal Kombat X patch has been pulled amidst reports that it’s using Fatalities on the save files of unlucky users.

The patch was supposed to add early access to Jason Voorhees for those with the Kombat Pack, as well as offer a range of stability and performance upgrades, fix a whole lot of bugs, and give PC users the free Klassic Sub-Zero skin. Unfortunately, it now does none of this, because you can’t download it anymore.

According to a Warner Bros post on Steam: “We are temporarily removing the patch until we can pinpoint the cause of save data loss. We are actively working on this and will keep everyone posted as we work towards a fix. We sincerely apologize for this disruption.”

I’ll keep my eyes open. If the patch pops up again with fixes, or if there are any updates worth mentioning, I’ll let you know. Unless I’ve gone to bed, or something, which is possible – there’s no ETA on a fix, so it’s hard to tell whether it’ll be tonight, tomorrow, or what.
