Are you bad with periodic tables? Like, really, really bad? Don’t worry, we’ve got the lowdown on how to solve this puzzle that doesn’t require you to know the difference between Beryllium and Bear Grylls. During the basement section of Moons of Madness, you’ll come across a bookshelf blocking your path. In another room, you’ll also find a periodic table with symbols on a post-it note above it. As it turns out, this tells you exactly how to solve the puzzle.
The post-it has Carbon, Beryllium, Helium, and Beryllium again, written in that order. What Moons of Madness wants is for you to break those down to their atomic numbers, which would be 6-4-2-4. All you need to do with that info is walk over to ze bookcase and put ze candle beck. Wait, no, that’s not right. Various books with numbers on them can be interacted with. Simply use each of the four books with those numbers on them in that order and you’ll have solved the puzzle. That’s it. You don’t have to go home, but you do actually kind of have to go home.
