Mojang granted interim injunction for the Scrolls name

This article is over 13 years old and may contain outdated information

The dispute between Minecraft developer Mojang and Zenimax took a turn today following an injunction ruling.
Zenimax has been pursuing the Minecraft developer over the use of the name ‘Scrolls’ for their next title which Zenimax claim is just too close to the name used in their Elder Scrolls series.
Today Mojang’s Markus Persson tweeted that they have won an interim injunction which means they can keep using the name, however Zenimax could still appeal the ruling.
“We won the interim injunction! We can keep using the name “Scrolls”. ZeniMax/Bethesda can still appeal the ruling, but I’m very happy. :D”
No doubt this won’t be the end of the case but it’s good news for Mojang.
