Modern Warfare Zombies (MWZ) Reaper guide: How to find Harvester Orbs

Harvest the Harvester.

Reaper is a challenging mission in Modern Warfare Zombies because Harvester Orbs aren’t easy to find. Since I’ve completed the mission, I have some insight that will hopefully help you complete Reaper by finding at least three Harvester Orbs in MWZ.

How to find Harvester Orbs in Modern Warfare Zombies (MWZ)

The hardest part about the Reaper mission in Modern Warfare Zombies is finding three Harvester Orbs. There isn’t an exploit we can do here; the Harvester Orbs spawn in at random and in fairly random locations.

However, in my experience, Harvester Orbs spawn around the east of Zaravan Suburbs, Shahin Manor, the east of Low Town, Hadiqa Farms, and the south of Orlov Military Base. These are all Threat Zone One areas and have a better chance of spawning Harvest Orbs, in my opinion.

I got lucky and found two Harvester Orbs in my first run around Shahin Manor and Zaravan Suburbs, but I couldn’t find a third. I left and came back and finally found the third Harvester Orb around Shahin Manor.

The trick to finding Harvester Orbs is to get in a vehicle and drive around those five POIs. While driving, periodically open your tac-map to see if a Harvester Orb is nearby. Also, keep a look out for floating purple orbs while driving.

After dealing damage to a Harvester Orb, it will rapidly fly away and drop a bottle of Essence. In my experience, the dropped Essence can range from 50 to 100, so it’s a really good idea to pick this up to collect Essence fast.

As long as you collect the Essence when the Harvester Orb drops it, you’ll collect 15 within the first Harvester Orb you come across. Also, as a pro tip, the HArvester Orb isn’t aggressive which is great, but you can become zombie food if you don’t pay attention to your surroundings while trying to defeat the Harvester Orb.

The biggest hurdle to hop is finding Harvester Orbs, but once you do find them, you destroy them by like you do everything else in this game: shoot it. When you shoot it, it’ll fly away. Keep your eye on it and keep hitting your shot.

Eventually, you’ll see the Harvester Orb spark. That means it is close to blowing up. Keep hitting it with bullets and it’ll eventually get defeated.

One thing you’ll want to watch out for is, if you get distracted with zombies and can’t keep hitting the Harvester Orb consistently, it will start a swirling storm move which will make it disappear if you don’t act fast enough and hit it again.
