The latest entry in the iconic Call of Duty series is finally here, in the form of Modern Warfare 3, the continuation of the series. With the game’s release, it’s always good to know beforehand if your PC can handle it, so let’s refresh you on MW3’s system requirements.

Modern Warfare 3 – The Minimum System Requirements

Call of Duty has been known since Warzone came out back in 2019 as one of the more taxing games for players to run on PC. With all sorts of explosions and other combustibles flying around, there’s a lot for your PC to process, so you need a decent one at the minimum.

In terms of system requirements, the minimum ones are listed below, but these will only get you the bare-bones FPS experience and won’t be ideal to play for a long duration.

  • Processor: Intel Core i5-6600 or AMD Ryzen 5 1400
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 / GTX 1650 or AMD Radeon RX 470
  • Video Memory: 2 GB
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 149 GB

While the game will be fine on the minimum requirements, you may experience some hitches throughout certain games, so you’re better off having the recommended ones to go off of.

These can be viewed below, and with the correct settings and the latest drivers, you’ll be able to get stable frames in no time.

  • Processor: Intel Core i7-6700K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080Ti / RTX 3060 or AMD Radeon RX 6600XT
  • Video Memory: 8 GB
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 149 GB

One aspect to keep in mind is that Modern Warfare 3 recommends players use Windows 11 to run the game at optimal settings. While you may not want to switch over for now, we thought it was worth noting!
