In a little chat with Larry ‘Major Nelson’ Hryb, Robert Bowling has revealed a few more details about the forthcoming Modern Warfare 2 DLC.

As Tim reported earlier, ‘Resurgence’ is scheduled for a 3 June release on Xbox 360 and will feature five multiplayer maps.

According to Bowling, those maps will be three brand new ones and a couple from Call of Duty 4. He also confirmed that the DLC will, once again, be priced at $14.99 USD (or 1200 MS Points.)There’s still no word on PC or PS3 release dates. One of those new maps, Carnival, will be a creepy old amusement park complete with rollercoasters, bumper cars and the gang from Scooby Doo dressed up as terrorists (one of those things may be a lie.) According to Bowling, it’ll also be fairly large in scale and a favourite for snipers.

Trailer Park is another new addition and somewhat self explanatory. We’re promised maze-like antics and choke points aplenty. Supposedly, this level is the living quarters of the people who run the Boneyard level. They sound like charming folk.

Finally, Fuel is set in an oil refinery. It promises to house two distinct sections – one wide open, the other a warehouse with tight corridors. Plus, one assumes, some big oil drums and a lot of no smoking signs.

As for the two returning CoD4 maps, they are reported to be Strike and Vacant.
