Modern Warfare 2 developer Infinity Ward has stated that Modern Warfare 2’s co-op will be limited to two players.Speaking to Videogamer, Infinity Ward’s director of communications/community manager Robert Bowling said the team is “crafting a very specific experience and we don’t want to ruin the story by cramming co-op into it,” and so the single player campaign will not feature co-op at all.Instead, the co-operative play will come through two player Special Ops mode which is “designed to be replayed over and over again” and features “the moments [from the single player campaign] that work really well in co-op.””It’s all about playing it over and over again, getting a better time – you’ll have a time at the end of it,” said Bowling, adding “it’s about challenging a friend going in on co-op and tryingt o beat it on Veteran.”You can check out our preview of the game here, or read about the higher-than-usual pricing here.
