Mirror’s Edge concept art appears just in time for E3

It’s me, Mirror’s Edge! No, not that Mirror’s Edge. The other one.

First of all, it’s very confusing that the follow-up to Mirror’s Edge is going to be called Mirror’s Edge. I don’t normally advocate the TITLE: SUBTITLE naming convention, but in this case I think it might be useful. Maybe DICE could call it Mirror’s Edgier or something. No, that’s terrible, sorry.

Right, secondly, a lone piece of concept art (above) has appeared on the official Mirror’s Edge Facebook page today. Since today (in my timezone) is one day before the E3 press conferencepocalypse of 9 June, that would suggest to me that this newer version of the game will be showing up tomorrow.

Most likely it’ll pop up during EA’s event (which starts at 12 noon Pacific.)

This Mirror’s Edge isn’t a direct sequel to the first one, it’s a sort of remake instead. But different. I think. Perhaps I’ll be a bit clearer on this after tomorrow.

It’s being developed by DICE, so hopefully it’ll go better than Battlefield 4.
