Minecraft shifts 4 million, still growing

At the rate things are going, the day Minecraft stops selling will be the day the world self-destructs and transforms into a one-big pixelated blob of blue and green. It seems that day is not quite upon us yet, however, developer Mojang announcing that they’ve now sold over four million copies of the block-buster.
If you thought that was impressive, consider this: Minecraft went from three million to four million in a mere three months, faster than it went from two million to three million. The bloody thing is increasing its rate of sales!
In the last 24 hours alone 7.634 thousand people have bought themselves a copy. If that rate continues it’ll be 133 days until Minecraft hits five million.
Here’s an admission: I’m not one of those four million, yet…
