Oasis vs Blur, who was best? The answer is Pulp.

If you want to be just like Oasis, then I would recommend being huge in the mid-90s and then gradually sliding into insignificance. I suppose I’d also suggest taking a look at the new Rocksmith 2014 DLC, which offers five new Oasis tracks to join “Don’t Look Back in Anger” that was included in the base game.

Here’s what you can play along to with your best Mancunian slouch. If you like, you can invite a friend over to pretend to be Damon Albarn and throw stuff at him.

  • Wonderwall
  • Champagne Supernova
  • Live Forever
  • Supersonic
  • Some Might Say

All of these say they come with “bass included” and “new authentic tone,” whatever that last one means. An individual song will set you back $3.00 USD (yikes,) or you can buy all five for the slightly more reasonable $12.00. Wait … that’s not really very reasonable at all. Oh well.

Also released today are a pair of songs by 9mm Parabellum Bullet, who Tim assures me are Japanese.

  • Atarashii Hikari
  • Punishment

Tim reviewed Rocksmith 2014 when it came out. Read that, here.
