Monolith’s Shadow of Mordor sequel apparently needs a bit more time to hone its devious schemes; Shadow of War is delayed until October. That announcement was made on the Monolith forums earlier today.

Previously penciled in for late August, Middle-earth: Shadow of War will now have a worldwide release on 10 October. Not a huge delay, and one accompanied by the usual statement about being “committed to delivering the highest quality experience” (no complaints there, really).
It’s noted that “Australia, New Zealand and Japan will have a different release date” (presumably still around 10 October, though it doesn’t clarify). Monolith say they’ll have more Shadow of War to show at E3.
