Microsoft will hold a second Xbox Showcase next week with ‘deeper looks’ at games

Xbox has even more to show.

The Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase is taking place this coming Sunday, June 12, at 1 PM ET. The show is expected to run for about 90 minutes, and this has left some wondering about whether this is long enough for Microsoft to give each game shown enough time in the spotlight.

But that no longer seems to be a concern. Microsoft has now announced that it’s holding a second Xbox showcase just a few days later. The Xbox Games Showcase Extended will take place on June 14, at 1 PM ET. Just like the main event, the Xbox Games Showcase Extended will last for about 90 minutes, and will be available to watch on the company’s official YouTube and Twitch channels.

On the Xbox Wire website, the company says, “We will share new trailers, take deeper looks at the news from the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, and speak with some of your favorite game creators.” Last year, Microsoft held an extended showcase to show off new looks at Forza Horizon 5 and Age of Empires IV, among other games.

Deeper looks into upcoming Microsoft games

Looking back at the extended showcase from last year, fewer games were shown. However, more detail was given about these chosen games. With that in mind, we expect that the Xbox Extended presentation will give the company time to delve deeper into any big titles that only receive short trailers during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase.

Ideally, this could mean an extensive look at the gameplay and systems of Starfield and Redfall. There are a lot of other potential first-party games that could appear here as well. The fantasy RPG from Obsidian Entertainment, Avowed, could be one such game. Everwild from Rare, Fable from Playground Games, and Contraband from Avalanche Studios are possibilities as well.

It all depends on what Microsoft and Bethesda show off during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, and it won’t be long before we find out.
