Metro Last Light scrapping its multiplayer modes

Metro Last Light is doing away with multiplayer entirely, confirms a post on the game’s official website. Multiplayer had been hinted at before, but today’s news nips that nasty little possibility in the bud.

“Throughout the development of Metro: Last Light a small, dedicated team had been working on a number of multiplayer prototypes,” states the post. “After E3, we decided to fold this multiplayer team back into the main group and focus 100% of the studio’s resources on the single player campaign. As a result, Metro: Last Light will not ship with a multiplayer component.”

In truth, multiplayer in a Metro is as appealing as single player in a Call of Duty game. So, for me, no loss. What about you? Would you like multiplayer in Last Light?
