EA has worked some crossover magic to combine Medal of Honor: Warfighter with the upcoming film Zero Dark Thirty, about the search for Osama Bin Laden. If you pre-order the game, you’ll get a map pack featuring two locations in Pakistan; The Darra Gun Market and the Chitral Compound.

Neither of these places are where Bin Laden turned out to be (so you won’t actually be playing a ‘mission’ where you have to shoot the world’s most wanted old man), but they were locations of interest during the decade-long search.

As tie-ins go, at least it’s one step up from cosying up to arms dealers.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter is coming in October to Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
