Mechwarrior4: Mercenaries Released For Free

Fancy a free game? Studio MekTek has announced today that its free, enhanced release of Mechwarrior4: Mercenaries is now available to download.

Getting hold of it is a pretty simple process. First, you’ll need to download MekTek’s free ‘MTX’ content delivery system. Then you’ll have to ask MTX to install 1.7 GB worth of freebie Mechwarrior4: Mercenaries.

Make sure it auto-patches itself too, to remove the CD check. Don’t worry, it’s all nice and legal.

The release comes with MekPack 3.1 fully integrated, which means a host of enhanced goodies like bonus mechs and weapons, along with an improved multiplayer system.

Not bad for the price of … well … nothing. May take a while to download through MTX at present, however.
