Legendary Pictures has acquired the rights to a Mass Effect film, according to The Hollywood Reporter (THR.)
Mark Protosevich (The Cell, Poseidon and I Am Legend) is reported to be in talks about writing the script, which may cause a little concern given how far the cinematic I Am Legend strayed from the plot of the novel. Somewhat confusingly, four producers are named as being involved with the project: Avi and Ari Arad, plus Legendary’s Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni.
However, sketchy details are probably to be expected as THR suggests that the project is “still in the early stages of development.”
As many of the details have not yet been worked out, IncGamers would like to pitch some high-level avant garde conceptualism. We think Shepard should change gender in every other scene. With no explanation.
