Mass Effect: Andromeda patch adds new Denuvo and breaks fixes for pirates

Mass Effect: Andromeda’s Denuvo powered ant-tamper tech was circumvented in under two week but the latest patch includes a surprise for pirates.

The latest patch was released to address some of the game’s weirder facial issues and stability among other things. According to DSO, a newer un-cracked version of Denuvo was also slipped into the 1.05 update to thwart anyone trying to pirate the improved version of the game. This means players will have to make do with all the quirks including the much talked about facial issues.

Whether pirates really care they have the latest patch is debatable and any damage to sales will likely have already been done. The patch can’t fix the game’s writing and story after all.
