Deadpool can join your roster in Marvel’s Midnight Suns. However, you do need to purchase certain DLCs or special editions of the game. From there, you’ll have to progress a bit in the campaign to unlock his story mission. Here’s our Marvel’s Midnight Suns guide to help you figure out how to start the Deadpool DLC known as The Good, the Bad, and the Undead.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns guide – How to start the Deadpool DLC (The Good, the Bad, and the Undead)
Buying the DLC
There are three ways for you to own the Deadpool DLC in Marvel’s Midnight Suns, and they all involve a type of purchase:
- Season Pass – The Season Pass grants you access to Deadpool and other new characters when they become available.
- Single-DLC purchase – You can also purchase The Good, the Bad, and the Undead as standalone DLC.
- Legendary Edition – Lastly, the Legendary Edition of the game already includes the Season Pass.
If you meet the above requirements, check your library and go to “Manage My DLC.” It should tell you when content is active, and you may need to wait for it to be installed.
Starting Deadpool’s story mission
You’ve got a few options to start the Deadpool DLC during the Marvel’s Midnight Suns campaign:
- If you’re just starting your playthrough, the hard requirement is the completion of the “Spidermaaaans” mission, essentially the moment when Spider-Man joins your roster.
- However, if you’ve already progressed further, or if you have a post-campaign save, you’ll see Deadpool’s story mission in the New York tab of the mission board. It’s called “A Man of Culture.”
- Lastly, if you finished the campaign weeks ago (without unlocking Deadpool) and you’re doing a New Game+ run, his mission won’t immediately show up in the board. As such, you’d have to progress the campaign further.
Deadpool, Vampyres, and other tidbits
In any case, the mission itself is fairly easy (it’s just the Hunter and Deadpool). The two attempt to battle Hydra’s goons that are stealing artifacts in the museum. Suddenly, Sin, the daughter of Red Skull, calls on Vampyres. The Vampyre enemy mobs have a unique application of the Bleed debuff when they hit a character. The debuff will also affect a hero’s cards and, if those cards are played, the debuff’s stack increases. In turn, the Vampyres gain increased stats (i.e., sort of like getting a whiff of blood in their surroundings).
As for the Deadpool DLC in Marvel’s Midnight Suns, the Merc with a Mouth uses En Fuego as a special mechanic. As you KO enemies with Deadpool, the En Fuego meter will increase and gain stacks once filled. This adds different boosts depending on the ability’s usage (i.e., increased damage, larger AoE effect, more cards drawn, and the like).
Last but not least, don’t forget that you still need to unlock Deadpool’s other skills via Forge decryption, Hero Ops, or requests. Moreover, his Legendary Card still requires a maxed out Friendship Level and the completion of his Armory Challenge.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns is available via Steam.
