‘Mann vs Machine’ mode announced for Team Fortress 2

Valve is ushering in a new mode over at Team Fortress 2, due to arrive on the 15 August. ‘Mann vs Machine’ mode (as it is called) will pit six of your finest TF2 characters against waves of robots, eager to plant a bomb in one of the many ‘Mann Co.’ strongholds in the world. Naturally, that means brand new maps.

Yes, the free-to-play online shooter is getting a co-op horde mode (with some added TF2 flair). In the down time between waves you’ll be able to upgrade and tinker with your equipment in traditional fashion, and “incredible loot” is promised for those who survive the robot menace.
