Blizzard has announced that all World of Warcraft accounts must be merged with a Battle.net account by 11 November. The news has sparked off speculation that a Starcraft II beta announcement is imminent, after the game was delayed because Battle.net wasn’t ready. At BlizzCon 2009. Blizzard released images that contained Battle.net interface screenshots, showing Starcraft II, Diablo III and World of Warcraft players communicating with each other through the Battle.net friend list. These screenshots show how the World of Warcraft friends list displayed Starcraft II icons to the side of a friend’s name, and vice versa. This imminent deadline to merge WoW Accounts with a Battle.net Account could be an initial step prior to announcing the Starcraft II Beta. All players who merge their accounts before 11 November will receive an in-game penguin pet.
