Major World of Tanks Patch Rolls Out

This article is over 13 years old and may contain outdated information

Wargaming.net has finally released their major game update which takes the game to version 6.4.
This is no small patch that’s been released; the update comes with new tanks including the German Löwe tank and artillery units for Germany, USA, and USSR as well as two new maps. The patch also includes enhanced physics and server modifications.
Probably the most significant update is the addition of the Conquest clan war mode which will go live on the 19th. Players will fight in a knock-out tournament and if they win they will have the opportunity to invade the world map and take on other clans fighting over global territories for prizes.
“This is a very important moment for us in terms of game optimization,” said World of Tanks project manager Alex Shilyaev. “Not only will the new physics bring the game nearer to reality, but will also become the first step towards a full-scale upgrade that will allow for much more freedom for our players on the battlefields in terms of tactics”.
“The time has finally come for the Global Conquest,” commented Wargaming.net CEO Victor Kisly. “Right now we have more than 1500 registered clans in Europe and North America, and I can’t wait to see all that crowd to jump into the global map. It’s gonna be exciting!”
Once the Clan Wars part of the patch is put live we’ll be bringing you our full and final review of the game.
