The PC version of Magic 2015 (or to give it it’s full headline-busting name, Magic 2015 – Duels of the Planeswalkers) will be further expanding on 5 November. Garruk’s Revenge will give players control of deadly hunter Garruk Wildspeaker (or his deck, at least) as he seeks his titular revenge.
This expansion will apparently contain some “fan-favorite cards from the Alara block.” It’ll be spread across four new campaign levels and an expanded exploration level, as Garruk uses his mighty deck powers against a variety of opponents. Hopefully opponents he wants to get revenge on, otherwise he’s just expended energy he should be saving up for the main vengeance event.
After every victory, Garruk’s deck will improve as players “unlock cards from Alara to later modify their own deck creations.”
When the expansion is released, all cards from the original Magic 2015 and Hunt Bigger Game will become earnable entirely through gameplay. It’s unclear whether this will apply to everybody or just those who purchase the new DLC, but it’s implied it’ll apply to everyone.
In addition, “players who have unlocked access to the game’s five initial chapters (Innistrad, Theros, Ravnica, Zendikar, and Shandalar) now have the opportunity to earn Battle Boosters (previously called Premium Boosters) by winning multiplayer matches.” Again, that’ll happen on 5 November when the expansion comes out.
Magic 2015 – Duels of the Planeswalkers – Garruk’s Revenge will be priced at £4.00 GBP. Here are some screenshots.
