A little video gaming ‘linked to well-adjusted children’

The media tends to have the opinion that gaming is a plague on humanity that will turn children into violent killers. Thousands of studies have been done to see if this really is true and so far nothing conclusive has turned up, in fact, one some studies reveal the opposite is true and that a bit of gaming now and then can actually be good for you.

In this news report by the BBC, Smitha Mundasad reports on how studies have shown that not only is gaming fun but that it can also be good for a child. Children who played video games tended to have fewer emotional problems and were well adjusted. However, those who played more than three hours a day tended to be less adjusted so if you’ve got gaming kids, maybe make sure they don’t spend all day in front of their chosen console.
