Like a Dragon: Ishin – How to use the Prize Tickets

Prize tickets are a common item Ryoma encounters as glowing points along the ground. Tickets stand out most near walls, at the base of trees, and near NPCs who are standing around. They can appear just about anywhere, however. Their placement is random and they regenerate when you leave an area. If you find a glowing point on the ground, it’s usually a prize ticket.

To use prize tickets in Like a Dragon: Ishin, visit the stall located northwest of Teradaya. As a reminder, that’s the inn where Ryoma spends much of his time early in the campaign. The stall itself is positioned right along the northeastern edge of Fushimi Ichibangai on your map, behind the Daruma Eatery.

When you talk to the stall’s proprietor, she offers you the chance to turn a crank. Each turn produces a colored ball, and the colors correspond to various prizes you might earn. Potential prizes are ranked on five levels. The uncommon yellow ball awards the best prize. Once you turn the crank a few times, you can use two tickets at once for “lucky” prizes with greater odds of a nice payout.

If you have trouble finding prizes quickly enough to suit your needs, remember that you can also earn them. Every 2,000 mon you spend with merchants results in a ticket as thanks. Try to spend 2,000 mon or more if your purchase is already close to that total. That way, you can earn many tickets (and prizes) over the course of the lengthy campaign.

Like a Dragon: Ishin can be purchased on Steam and the Xbox marketplace.
