This week Ground Zeroes will be released on various dates throughout the world. However some fans have noted that the game doesn’t feature a platinum Trophy which is the Trophy you unlock after gaining all the other Trophies.
When asked on Twitter why this was the case, Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima answered that Sony doesn’t allow platinum Trophies for non full priced games. Given that Ground Zeroes is a short prologue to The Phantom Pain, it is cheaper than most games, because of this it seems Sony have denied it a platinum Trophy.
In other Metal Gear news, it seems The Phantom Pain may have a vague release window. When a user on Reddit registered his copy of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes he received the message below which seems to suggest that we can expect to see The Phantom Pain in early 2015.
Hideo Kojima had warned that it would be some time before the follow up game would be released and this date of 2015 seems to fit that idea. He revealed that The Phantom Pain would be 200 times bigger than Ground Zeroes and that there was still a lot of work to be done.
