Just Cause 2 Dated

This article is over 14 years old and may contain outdated information

Square Enix Europe has announced Just Cause 2 will come to stores in Europe on 26 March, with our American friends getting the title on 23 March, three days earlier. The game is the highly anticipated sequel to the popular 2006 release, and is developed by Swedish team, Avalanche Studios. The proprietary engine is the second generation Avalanche 2.0 Engine and will take care of the 1000 km squared, open-world paradise environment, which does look pretty impressive, as demonstrated by our screens. And Rico Rodriguez is back, and is on a mission to take down his former boss, Tom Sheldon, who’s gone rogue with an obscure amount of money. You can grapple, parachute, hijack vehicles, BASE jump and destroy the beautiful environment you’ve been dropped in.We loved the game when we saw it at E3, and we loved it more when we got our hands on a couple of weeks ago, and will be looking forward to getting our hands on the title to give it a real test.Part of our love of the game is to do with the prettiness of it all.  You can see what we mean with the latest screenshots posted below. We’ll keep you posted with more news as and when we’ll get it, but in the meantime, if you were underwhelmed by Bionic Commando, this might be something to look forward to.New screens form the game were also released today, check them out here.
