Llamasoft has released Gridrunner Revolution. The latest PC title from the brain of industry legend Jeff Minter is an evolution (revolution?) of 1982’s Gridrunner, which has lovely psychadelic graphics combined with shooting. Lots of shooting. We don’t know much about it, save that you can boost your scores with things like “bullet calligraphy” and “Sheepie Save,” but if you’re interested – and you really should be – you can go and download the demo on the Llamasoft website. The full version, which should now be available, will apparently cost $20 USD. There’s also a limited bundle including Space Giraffe which comes out to $25 USD.Space Giraffe was a bit love-it-or-hate-it. I absolutely adored it, but many weren’t quite so enamoured. Still, Gridrunner Revolution should be a tad more accessible and we reckon the demo will be worth the bandwidth.
