It looks like the legendary jokers Jay and Silent Bob are still getting their brawler game from Interabang Entertainment. The new trailer for Jay and Silent Bob: Chronic Blunt Punch shows off plenty of gameplay. This seems to confirm that the game is moving along in development. Kevin Smith (Silent Bob) officially announced the trailer for Chronic Blunt Punch during the Guerrilla Collective live stream on Sunday.

Jay and Silent Bob: Chronic Blunt Punch is a 2D sidescrolling beat-’em-up with a classic arcade feel. The game will feature hand-drawn art, ridiculous irreverent humor, tag-team control mechanics, and fast-paced action. The game will also feature cooperative play with a friend.
Chronic Blunt Punch is for those who like to play dope games
Fans of the Jay and Silent Bob characters should enjoy what the game has to offer. The trailer looks like a blast from the past with modern visuals. Chronic Blunt Punch is clearly inspired by early ’90s retro gaming themes and is sure to pack plenty of odd humor too.
The duo will take on waves of hipsters, creepy old men, and seeming degenerates in an adventure of their own. According to the Steam page, the “heroes” will fight from the corner store to the gates of hell itself.
The project was originally crowdfunded back in 2016 via a Fig campaign, which was 111% funded. News on the state of development was slim for a time, but this new trailer puts an end to that.
Interabang technically has the release date set as August 15, 2021 on Steam, but that’s likely just a placeholder date. When Kevin Smith or Interabang releases more information about the game, we’ll let you know.
