Legendary slasher villain Jason Voorhees will be making an appearance in Mortal Kombat X, if you buy the DLC.

With Mortal Kombat X out in one month, Netherrealm are starting to talk about the DLC – which is probably a good idea, considering the DLC-including Kombat Pack and Premium Edition are already on sale.

You can expect four characters (which Netherrealm quickly note are still in development). One is Friday the 13th‘s Jason Voorhees. Two will be Klassic Kombatants, which means characters from Mortal Kombat games past. The final one will be another guest character.

Oddly, Jason Voorhees was probably one of the easiest to predict; Mortal Kombat 9 had Freddy Krueger as a DLC character, and Jason is a logical next step. Also, it’s Friday the 13th today.

Those who buy the £24.99 Kombat Pack will get early access to the DLC characters, as well as a skin pack with each character. Apparently, those who purchase the Kombat Pack will – at launch – get access to Ronin Kenshi, Samurai Shinnok, and Jingu Kitana skins.

You can see Jason staring menacingly at the camera in an incredibly short teaser video below. See the screenshot above? Yeah, that’s the video.

Mortal Kombat X is due out on 14 April.
