It turns out the Batteries in Destiny 2 Onslaught heal more than just the ADU

A whole new way to troll.

Destiny 2 has once again switched its gameplay up with the introduction of a whole new game mode. Onslaught pits you and two other Guardians against waves of enemies as you battle to protect your beloved ADU, healing it as you go with batteries. However, due to a glitch in the game, the Onslaught batteries do a lot more than just heal the ADU.

ADU Batteries heal everything in Onslaught

Grab yourself a battery in Destiny 2: Onslaught and bounce it off a wall into your own forehead. There you go – your health is marginally increased. Now, throw it at a teammate; you heal them too. However, throw it at an Ogre or other enemy in Onslaught, and you might find their health goes up as well. The amount is tiny, but it’s still there. So, can this magical ball of health be used to win Onslaught?

Whether this is a glitch in Onslaught or not is still yet to be seen, and honestly, the battery’s health benefits are so minor it is more of a humorous addition than game-breaking. You’re hardly going to be able to use the ADU batteries to save teammates deep in the fray. However, when someone is plugging away at a larger enemy, it is kind of funny to throw a few Batteries at them to just prolong the typically spongy bosses.

So, can you use the Onslaught batteries to completely break the game? No. Can you stand there in a corner bouncing them off your own forehead to slowly gain health back? Yes, but you’re going to look absolutely mental. I don’t think Bungie will even bother addressing this problem in the new Destiny 2 game mode due to its almost inconsequential effect. So, give it a go next time you’re fighting back the furious hordes, Guardian. It may be the thing that finally pushes you and your team to that hard-won 50th level.
