Is there an Arachnophobia mode in LEGO Fortnite?

How bad are the spiders?

In LEGO Fortnite, one of the critters you’ll have to fend yourself from are spiders, which has made some players apprehensive. Is there an arachnophobia mode, and if not, are the spiders bad?

Does LEGO Fortnite accommodate for Arachnophobia?

For those with arachnophobia, the idea of spiders being in LEGO Fortnite may be daunting. LEGO Fortnite does not have an arachnophobia mode. But I wouldn’t be too worried, as the many things that trigger arachnophobia are not present in LEGO Fortnite.

Even though I don’t suffer from arachnophobia, I can understand the aversion. The many, hairy legs and the too-many eyes. Their speed and their uncanny body structure. Thankfully, everything that will set off arachnophobia isn’t a part of the LEGO Fortnite spider design.

The spiders are tiny, and will hop around to chase you. As they are LEGO, there are no moving parts, and their many legs are tiny little prongs. So don’t worry, no creepy crawly legs will be creeping towards you and there won’t be sets of eight eyes to haunt you.

If the images above send shivers down your spine, then I would give LEGO Fortnite a miss, as you can’t disable them and they are everywhere. If you look under a rock or go exploring in the mountains, these things will appear in droves and will chase you till the end of the Earth.

I don’t think it would be too hard for Epic to add the arachnophobia mode, however. There are plenty of other critters to choose from; they could even make a new critter for the game, just to move away from spiders. They do form a classic enemy type, in video gaming and LEGO, but they aren’t a vital part of the game, nor incredibly thematic.
