Whenever a game releases on Steam, gamers are fiending to know if it’s compatible with the Steam Deck, such as the survival open-world game Palworld.
If you own a Steam Deck and want to know if Palworld works on your handheld device, we have the answers for you.
Palworld: Can you play it on Steam Deck?
Palworld just looks like one of those games that’s perfect to play in your bed or on the go. While Palworld is available on Steam, the developer Pocketpair confirmed that it’s compatible with the Steam Deck! Currently, we don’t know just yet how verified Palworld is until launch.
Games on the Steam Deck can have four different verification levels: Verified, Playable, Unsupported, or Unknown. Verified means that it’s perfectly made to work on your Steam Deck, while Playable means it should work fine with a few tweaks. Some Unsupported games can still work, but if a game says Unknown, you should avoid trying it.

Since Pocketpair already stated that you’ll be able to play it on the Steam Deck, my guess is that Palworld will either be Playable or Verified. Also, since this creature-collecting game is launching on Xbox as well, you can bet that Palworld will launch with controller support.
This means that you shouldn’t run into issues while using your Steam Deck to play Palworld. But what about the system requirements? Luckily, it seems as though the Steam Deck can easily handle the minimum requirements. It’s a gorgeous game that can run beautifully on its recommended settings, but your Steam Deck may fare better on lower graphics settings for Palworld.
If Palworld does launch as Playable, I wouldn’t be surprised if it becomes Verified sometime between its Early Access launch and full release. With any Early Access game you’re bound to run into some caveats, so don’t worry too much if it doesn’t run perfectly on Valve’s handheld device.
