Is Palworld on Xbox Game Pass?

Ready to pal around?

We’ve been hyped about Palworld since 2021, but on January 19, we’ll finally get to play it. Now the question is: is Palworld available on Xbox Game Pass?

Can I play Palworld on Xbox Game Pass?

The good news is that Palworld is on Xbox Game Pass! The moment it releases on January 19, 2024, the game will be playable on Game Pass.

I love Game Pass because it’s a way to try a plethora of games you’d otherwise ignore all for a low monthly price. For me, Palworld is the perfect game to experience via Game Pass. To me, it’s a game that looks like it could be surprisingly good and fun…or it could crash and burn. Mainly, it looks like a game I want to give a test run. Game Pass is perfect for that.

In the Tweet above by the creators of Palworld, you’ll see a confirmation that Palworld is playable through Game Pass on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Note that Palworld is releasing in early access, so this isn’t a full game. With early access games, expect bugs and general incompletion.

Palworld is a Pokemon parody that looks like it plays like Ark Survival Ascended. You roam an open world collecting kawaii animals whose anime aesthetics don’t match the realistic world around them. To add to the realist, these animals can be equipped with guns and rockets to fight other animals and they can be used as factory workers. I know, it’s bizarre.

No doubt, Palworld features some sketchy ideas, most notably animal slavery, but it’s all good because it’s a parody, right? It’s funny because you enslave a world full of exotic creatures in Pokemon, right?

I’m still trying to figure out where I stand morally with Palworld. At least you can try it “for free” if you have an Xbox Game Pass subscription instead of buying it on Steam. be sure to check out if it’s multiplayer.
