No Rest for the Wicked looks incredible, but will I be able to play it on consoles like Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5? Will the answer change between Early Access and the 1.0 launch?
No Rest for the Wicked console: Can I play on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|s, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch?
We know that No Rest for the Wicked is releasing in Early Access on April 18, 2024, and we also know that it is only releasing on PC via Steam. Sadly, you can’t play No Rest for the Wicked on consoles at first.

I say at first because Moon Studios, the developers of No Rest for the Wicked, have stated that they plan on putting the game on consoles when it launches in its full 1.0 version. We’ve been given a roadmap for what is coming first to No Rest for the Wicked after its Early Access launch, but nothing on it has dates. Because of that, we don’t have a date for the 1.0 full release.
Looking at all the games that have released in Early Access and then released fully for reference, there’s no precedent for how long games stay in Early Access. Some games stay in Early Access for years while others get their 1.0 release in less than a year. For now, it’s impossible for us to determine when No Rest for the Wicked will leave Early Access and come to consoles. We’ll just have to wait for Moon Studios to share more details about their plan.
When No Rest for the Wicked does get its 1.0 release and comes to consoles, I’d imagine it will be at the very least be available on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. It’s not clear if the game will come to last-gen consoles, meaning Xbox One and PlayStation 4, or Nintendo Switch. We also don’t know if it’ll come to Xbox Game Pass. In my opinion, the more platforms, the better. We’ll need to stay tuned for more info, but I’m definitely going to enjoy playing on Steam, and hopefully Steam Deck, in the meantime.
