Is No Rest for the Wicked a co-op multiplayer game?

This Early Access action RPG is advertised as a single-player experience, but is there any chance of a co-op mode? Luckily, No Rest for the Wicked plans to eventually include a four-player multiplayer co-op, among many other features as it continues to update.

Since it’s an Early Access title, Moon Studios can have the freedom to work on the game while still allowing players access to it before its 1.0 release. As explained in the Early Access FAQ on the Steam page, Moon Studios plans to implement 4-player co-op and even PVP prior to No Rest for the Wicked’s 1.0 release.

Once this action RPG releases in Early Access on April 18, it’ll only be available in single-player. But plenty of promised features are on the way to its 1.0 release that aren’t just multiplayer. It lists to eventually include expanded story content, additional map regions, farming, as well as new weapons, armor, and other items.

What you’ll get with the current state of the Early Access version is the first chapter of the narrative campaign, side quests, fierce boss battles, and various weapons, armor, and skills. You’ll also have a home that you can furnish and modify, alongside a replayable Cerim Crucible dungeon.

If you were looking forward to this promised multiplayer content and aren’t into single-player titles, you may want to wait to pick up No Rest for the Wicked until it releases. But it seems like there is still a good amount of content coming with the Early Access launch. Speaking of launches, you may be wondering about No Rest for the Wicked’s possible Xbox and PS5 launch.
