Sqaure Enix’s latest action adventure JRPG Final Fantasy 16 has fans wondering how they can get their hands on it. No matter your favored console, it’s likely that you’ve tried at least one of the 16 mainline games. While we know it’s arriving on PlayStation 5, do we have an answer for if Final Fantasy 16 is coming to Xbox consoles? Keep reading to find out more.
When will Final Fantasy 16 come to Xbox?
For gamers who only have an Xbox, we have an answer to if Final Fantasy 16 is coming to Xbox. Sadly, for now, there are no dates or plans for the Xbox release of Final Fantasy 16. Hold onto hope though, because this game is a timed PlayStation exclusive. What this means is that for at least six months, it will only be on the PS5. After that, Square Enix can release their latest Final Fantasy game on whichever console they choose.
We’ve already covered whether it will be coming to PC. But what about Xbox? Well, many Final Fantasy games have come to Xbox consoles in the past, it just takes some time. You probably won’t see the Xbox version arrive exactly six months later in December, but perhaps a year or two later. Confirmed through this Japanese blog post, Naoki Yoshida, the game’s producer, said it would take at minimum six months for the PC version.
Although he didn’t say anything about an Xbox version, you can play games like Final Fantasy 15 and some older remasters on your Xbox. On the other hand, Final Fantasy 7 Remake doesn’t seem to have plans yet for an Xbox release. This is an entirely different Final Fantasy game though, so there is still hope that the latest title will come to Xbox. We may not have any definitive dates or confirmations, but there is always a possibility for it to happen.
Final Fantasy 16Â is available as a PlayStation 5 exclusive.
