Players worldwide are swinging throughout the streets of New York City and Brooklyn within Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Going into the game, gamers were well aware that Venom was going to be a major part of the story, and there was some indication that Eddie Brock was going to portray the character once again.

Who Is Venom In Spiderman 2?

On film, Venom/Eddie Brock was most recently portrayed by Tom Hardy. In the lead-up to Marvel’s Spiderman 2, there was discussion at first about whether to not the same Eddie Brock would be taking the reigns as Venom once again.

Now that the game has premiered worldwide, it’s clear throughout the story of Spiderman 2 that Venom is Harry Osborn, the son of Norman Osborn; who MCU fans will know later becomes the Green Goblin portrayed in certain films over the years.

This was also given away to fans during the introduction of Spiderman 2, as we see Norman imprison Harry within a symbiote tank, thus giving him the powers to become the host to the alien powers of Venom.

While the game further expands on this tricky relationship between Harry and his father, fans hoping for Eddie Brock to make an appearance in the game will be disappointed.
