Armored Core 6 is a revitalization of a beloved FromSoftware franchise, and many are wondering if it features multiplayer. Flying around and obliterating enemy mechas is fun, but it can be even more fun with friends. So, does Armored Core 6 have multiplayer?

Does Armored Core 6 have multiplayer?

Yes, Armored Core 6 does have multiplayer, but not in the way you’d think. Interestingly enough, we’ve discovered that Armored Core 6 will likely have multiplayer from Reddit user EntertainmentMission.

In the Armored Core subreddit, EntertainmentMission posted an image of the Armored Core 6 box and on the back, it shows a two- to six-player online multiplayer image. The box is in Japanese, but everybody knows the online multiplayer symbol when they see it.

As extra evidence that Armored Core 6 does have multiplayer, Masaru Yamamura, the game director of Armored Core 6, said, “There is a PvP mode, online PvP that has both 1v1 and 3v3 matches.” I can’t wait to craft the perfect mecha and put it to the test in online PvP.

 Does Armored Core 6 have co-op?

In a recent Armored Core 6 gameplay trailer, we saw a mission where the player was fighting through a snowy mission with two ally mechas. The narrator of the trailer also announced, “Some missions will see you partnered up with ally ACs.” So, does this mean that Armored Core 6 has co-op PvE missions?

Unfortunately, all reports and interviews point to Armored Core 6 not having co-op. The ally mechs in the gameplay footage where likely NPC friendlies and not online players. That said, we still have our fingers crossed that FromSoftware surprises us with online co-op because that would be a lot of fun.

Does Armored Core 6 have PvP?

From my research, I’ve discovered that Armored Core 6 will have PvP. In the interview mentioned earlier, Armored Core 6 features 1v1 and 3v3 PvP modes. The 1v1 sounds like a lot of fun as it’ll be a true test of who has the best mecha. The 3v3 PvP matches sound chaotic in the best way possible.
