Let’s talk about how we can defeat the Prospector boss in Inscryption.

Phase 1 and transition: The Pack Mule and the Gold Nuggets

For the Prospector boss fight in Inscryption, you’ll want to keep most of your strongest cards in reserve. At the start, you’ll notice that your opponent plopped down a Pack Mule card (0/5). This will move sideways each turn to avoid damage. If you can take it out, you’ll receive a lot of cards to add to your current deck. Also, the main damage dealer here is the Coyote (2/1).

The tricky part here is the transition when you first drop the Prospector’s HP. He’ll replace all the cards and spaces in your row with Gold Nuggets.

Phase 2

The Gold Nuggets essentially prevent you from placing new cards, but they’ll get destroyed by your opponent’s creatures. These include the Adder (1/1 with insta-kill on hit) and Bloodhound (2/3).

That’s why it’s imperative that you leave your strongest cards in reserve (preferably using Squirrels or low-tier creatures at the start). This ensures that your weakest monsters are the ones that get turned into Gold Nuggets. When possible, bring out the big guns and take out your foe.

All right, let’s move on to the next part of our Inscryption boss guide to battle the Angler.
