Inscryption Act 3 factory puzzle – The Totem Sigils and Green Ooze’s lair

Recommended Videos

Let’s talk about the Totem Sigil puzzle and Green Ooze lair/painting in the factory level of Inscryption.

The sigils you need for the totem can be discovered all over the factory level. However, I’ve not sure if you’re actually required to have seen all of them first before you could solve the whole thing. This was one of the last puzzles that I completed, and I didn’t have an earlier save to test. Here are the sigil locations:

  • The Cuckoo Clock – If you input 11:00, you’ll see a small piece of paper with a sigil.
  • Drone in the battery room – Make it spin, then click on it to take a photo. The camera’s flash should show you a sigil behind it.
  • Custom Card – As we discussed earlier, you need to make a custom card that matches the one that’s on the printer. The diagram on the printer will have a sigil marked in red.

Assuming the clues aren’t randomized for each player, we’ve got (from top to bottom): Wing (Airborne) -> Skull and Crossbones (Touch of Death) -> Split Arrows (Bifurcated Strike). Using this combination will cause a green crystal to appear.

You’ll get teleported to the Green Ooze’s lair. This fella’s got a painting, and he wants you to admire it. Look at the painting and talk to him. If he says that you “don’t like it,” just leave the area and interact with the totem once more. Stare at the painting again and it should work. He’ll be happy because you appreciate his artistic talent.

Okay, we’re not done yet. There are still a couple more puzzles and secrets in Act 3 of Inscryption. You can take a look at our guides regarding the Trader/Holo Pelts and the Mycologist/Bone Lord keys used for the secret boss.
