IncGamers Plays Homeworld Remastered

This article is over 9 years old and may contain outdated information

Our Homeworld Remastered coverage continues with two special full mission comparison gameplay videos.

Recommended Videos

Homeworld Remastered comes with the two original games and the remastered versions of both. But what’s the difference? I decided to take a mission from each of the two original games through to completion and then replay the exact same missions in the remastered version.

These two videos show exactly how the originals have been improved in the interface, control and visual departments. It was an interesting experience playing the exact same missions back to back and by doing this it really highlighted the improvements that have been made to the two games by Gearbox. Playing both games again after quite a few years break was not easy, remembering hotkeys, tactics and formations eventually started to come back. Excuse any weird clicks or menu openings in the videos, that was me just getting the hang of things again.

Don’t forget to read our full hands-on preview which is now live and there’s still more to come. If there’s anything in particular you want to see then let us know on the comments below and we’ll see what we can do.

Each video starts with the classic mission then half way through you can watch the same missions remastered.
