Blacklight: Tango Down is in development with Zombie Studios and is a “AAA-quality military shooter” set in the fictional near future universe  of Blacklight.

The game world promises to blend old world architecture with sci-fi lighting and atmosphere and will offer a number of classic multiplayer modes like Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Control Point, with more modes to be announced prior to release.

Zombie has focused on customisation in the online shooter, which will allow the player to develop their character as well as their weapons, offering upgrades like scopes and accuracy boosts.

“We’re excited to be working on a gripping new franchise that will deliver the intense action, thoughtful tactics and in-depth strategies of today’s best multiplayer shooters immersed in an all new universe that gamers will really sink their teeth into,” said Ignition’s Ajay Chadha.

“Blacklight: Tango Down is set to change the way gamers view the possibilities of downloadable content because it will offer shooter fans the top quality, deep content and exciting experience that they are used to finding in a retail product but in a downloadable package.”

The game is due for release this summer and you can check out the first trailer below.
