It was almost one year ago that the ID@Xbox Showcase first broadcasted on Twitch. Since then, Xbox has put together several presentations that all show off a variety of indie games. That’s right, this is a showcase that puts the spotlight on the little guy. It’s all about the small studios and talented individuals that have put everything on the line to beat the odds.
The showcase is returning next week, with a collection of new indie games to show off. You can watch it through Twitch on both the official Xbox and Twitch Gaming accounts on Wednesday, March 16 at 1 p.m. ET. Furthermore, Microsoft and Twitch are allowing streamers to co-stream the event, so you can watch along with your favorite content creators.
So, what can you expect at the ID@Xbox Showcase? Microsoft has already confirmed that gameplay from titles developed by Finji and Whitethorn will be present. Equally, the first game published under iam8bit’s new publishing label will be revealed. The other developers that we know will make an appearance are the Roblox Corporation and Shredders developer FoamPunch.
There is sure to be a wide range of updates, trailers, and gameplay previews from other titles too. It’s not as though the Xbox guys are going to reveal everything before the event has even begun. Don’t be surprised if something shows up that you weren’t expecting.
More coming to Game Pass
Those that subscribe to either PC Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass won’t want to miss the ID@Xbox Showcase. The majority of titles at these events are available for Game Pass users to try out.
That makes this event not only a fantastic opportunity for indies to gather traction, but also a chance for you to get more out of Game Pass. With over one hundred games on PC Game Pass alone, it can be easy to lose track of what’s available.
