One of the biggest issues with Crytek’s Hunt: Showdown performance patch next week has been performance but there is an update coming.

Next week performance update will be released on the test server prior to a complete roll-out. Crytek has been focusing on specific performance issues such as CPU optimisations as the game was CPU bound which was hampering performance, reducing the memory footprint, and addressing stalls and stuttering.

This next update should improve the general smoothness and response of the game according to Crytek which will also improve framerates. The patch will address other issues such as freezes in the Stillwater compound and fix missing vegetation issues.

A smaller patch had been planned for release this week but “issues” appeared which needed more testing so instead of a hotfix this larger Performance Patch 1 will release instead next week.
