A couple of days ago HTC announced that the Vive VR headset’s launch would be pushed back slightly but they’ve sneaked in an amendment to the original post.
With April now the launch date for the Vive, HTC went back to their original delay announcement post and added something extra. The update now includes a pre-order date:
“We will be starting the new year by making an additional 7,000 units available to developers, with pre-orders from the end of February ”
With the Oculus Rift coming out in Q1, this has likely been added to make it a little more difficult for gamers to choose between the two. With each headset probably going to cost more than $300, most gamers will be picking one or the other.
The question is, what will you be going for now? The Rift of the Vive?
Thanks VR Focus
