How to use Firecrackers in Dying Light

Whether you are playing on Console or PC, the way you use Firecrackers in Dying Light stays pretty much the same. First, once you have picked them up, equip them to your quick slots. If you are playing on a keyboard, you can equip items to your 1 through 4 buttons. On the controller, you need to equip the Firecrackers to your D-Pad buttons. This is done by opening your inventory and equipping things to your quick bar.

Select your Firecrackers using the relevant D-Pad or number on your keyboard numbers, and then press the use button in Dying Light. This is the middle button on your mouse if you’re playing Dying Light on PC or your left trigger on a console. This will throw the item you have selected. This method will work for whatever equipment you have selected at the time.

What are Firecrackers for?

Firecrackers, as mentioned, are a classic for any zombie game. They serve a few purposes when it comes to the mindless hordes. The first use for Firecrackers in Dying Light, is what you would expect. They can be used as a tactic to distract zombies away from you. Make sure to throw them at a distance and far away from where you’re planning on going.

You can also use the Firecrackers in Dying Light to ignite oil spills and blow up bombers. This is a great use for the Firecrackers to get rid of these rather annoying enemies at a distance or create a wall of fire between you and zombies.
