Yellow Weapon Crates spawn all over the Blue Hole, and their locations change during each dive. Open one up, and you’ll get a random weapon. To get permanent upgrades, keep opening those boxes until you get blueprints for new weapons. In the Weapon Shop app, you’ll see several progress bars. Once filled, you can permanently buy a better weapon. Crafting requires a small amount of gold, but several miscellaneous items like Rope and Ore are usually needed.

Later on, Duff will let you purchase upgrades for your arsenal that increase damage or add elemental effects like “Sleep” and “Shock.” These powerful boosts often require unusual materials that you’ll need to go out of your way to find.

You can upgrade your Harpoon through the iDiver app along with the rest of your diving gear. Harpoon upgrades are expensive but don’t require miscellaneous salvage items. If you keep upgrading the Harpoon, it’ll serve as a decent weapon against aggressive fish, and you don’t even have to worry about ammo!

Now that you know how to upgrade your weapons in Dave the Diver, you shouldn’t have any problems catching those larger fish.
